We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator to join a busy workshop team specialising in the manufacture, repair and refurbishment of roller shutters and metal doors. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity offering long-term stability with a well-established engineering company.
Working from engineering drawings, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling sheet metal components to a high standard using a variety of fabrication techniques, hand tools and power tools. TIG welding experience is essential as you'll be joining metal components as part of the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, cut, shape and assemble sheet metal components.
- Carry out TIG welding to join metal components accurately.
- Manufacture and repair roller shutters and metal doors.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.
- Work independently and as part of a skilled fabrication team.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience fabricating roller shutters and metal doors.
- Competent TIG welding skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication.
- Confident using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable with a positive work ethic and excellent timekeeping.
