Responsibilities
Financial & Commercial Management
- Take full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility as Contract Manager (Doors), ensuring all contracts are delivered profitably.
- Identify, manage, and recover contract variations from the original tender scope.
- Prepare and present accurate installation forecasts and commercial updates to senior management.
- Manage procurement of door installation materials and externally sourced doors, ensuring cost increases are appropriately controlled and recovered.
Project Planning & Operations
- Manage and maintain the master installation programme for all door projects and communicate schedules effectively with clients.
- Arrange initial door surveys and coordinate technical drawings and approvals.
- Issue surveys for costing and obtain formal client sign-off prior to procurement and installation.
- Coordinate with production teams and source specialist subcontractors where required to ensure successful delivery.
- Oversee door entry system works and ensure all installation activity aligns with wider project programmes.
Quality Assurance & Delivery
- Carry out regular site inspections to maintain installation standards and ensure high-quality project delivery.
- Manage remedial works and snagging completion to achieve client satisfaction and successful handover.
- Secure client sign-off following completion and initiate invoicing and payment applications.
- Take ownership of installation timelines and proactively communicate delays or programme changes to clients.
- Ensure every contract is delivered safely, efficiently, on budget, and to agreed quality standards.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Prepare and submit Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Operation &
- Maintenance (O&M) manuals where required.
- Ensure all installation works comply with current Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Promote and enforce safe working practices across all sites to protect employees, contractors, clients, and members of the public.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Contract Manager (Doors) or within contract management across construction, fenestration, or door installation sectors.
- Strong commercial awareness with proven experience managing P&L responsibility and contract variations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple nationwide door installation projects simultaneously and deliver to strict deadlines.
- Strong understanding of site Health & Safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualification is essential.
- Excellent organisational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage end-to-end contract delivery effectively.
