Groundworker, Contract Role, Gretna / Carlisle (Site-Based), 40 Hours per Week

• Day Shift: £16.00 – £18.50 per hour

• Consistent full-time hours (40 per week)
• Paid travel time (06:00 – 17:00, Mon–Fri where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Initial shift: Saturday night (22:30 – 07:00)
• Monday to Friday: Day shifts (07:30 – 15:30, on site)
• Carry out troughing work along rail tracks
• Install and protect critical cable routes
• Work safely within a live rail environment
• Support ongoing project work through to completion

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• Physically fit and able to work in a manual environment
• Willingness to complete PTS training after 12 shifts
• Includes drug & alcohol testing and e-learning
• PTS certification (desirable but not essential at start)
