Setting Out Engineer – West of Scotland (Contract, 13 Weeks with Potential Permanent Role) Day Rate: £270 – £300 (DOE)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to support a range of civil engineering and construction projects across the West of Scotland, including Ayrshire, Paisley, Glasgow, Blantyre, and Larkhall. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and varied pipeline of works, with the potential to transition into a permanent role following an initial 13-week contract.

Responsibilities
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours paid, 30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Setting out and surveying for groundworks, steel frame structures, drainage, car parks, and roadworks
- Conducting pre-site surveys to support project planning
- Assisting with the delivery and coordination of groundworks operations
- Performing quality checks and site inspections to ensure work meets required standards
- Capturing photographic evidence of completed work
- Reporting progress, findings, and updates to clients
Requirements
- Proven background in civil engineering or construction
- Demonstrable experience in setting out and site surveying
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
