Structural Steel Estimator Fife – Full-Time Permanent, Office-Based (with Occasional Site Visits), £40,000 – up to £48,000 per annum
We are currently looking to recruit a Structural Steel Estimator in Fife. This role is primarily office-based. with occasional site visits required to support accurate pricing, tender preparation, and overall project understanding.
The position offers a competitive salary starting at £40,000, rising to up to £48,000 per annum depending on experience. Alongside strong benefits and long-term career stability within an established steel fabrication business.

Responsibilities:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm, Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates
- Create, compile, and submit tender returns, including financial offer letters
- Price site installation work, factoring in materials, labour, overheads, and subcontractor costs
- Log, track, and manage incoming enquiries in an organised manner
- Review shop and field drawings for accuracy, clarity, and professionalism prior to customer submission
- Liaise closely with internal teams to ensure tender accuracy and completeness
- Carry out occasional site visits to support accurate pricing and project understanding
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Engineering or fabrication background
- Ability to read and create engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple enquiries
