We are currently looking to recruit a Structural Steel Estimator in Fife. This role is primarily office-based. with occasional site visits required to support accurate pricing, tender preparation, and overall project understanding.
The position offers a competitive salary starting at £40,000, rising to up to £48,000 per annum depending on experience. Alongside strong benefits and long-term career stability within an established steel fabrication business.

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 5:00pm, Friday: 7:30am – 3:00pm
Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates
Create, compile, and submit tender returns, including financial offer letters
Price site installation work, factoring in materials, labour, overheads, and subcontractor costs
Log, track, and manage incoming enquiries in an organised manner
Review shop and field drawings for accuracy, clarity, and professionalism prior to customer submission
Liaise closely with internal teams to ensure tender accuracy and completeness
Carry out occasional site visits to support accurate pricing and project understanding
Full UK driving licence
Engineering or fabrication background
Ability to read and create engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple enquiries
