Full Job Description:

Fabricator, Aberdeen, Salary £35,900 to £37,900 per annum + Overtime Paid at x1.5 + Travel Time + Overnight Allowance!

 

Fabricator required to join a successful manufacturing facility based in Aberdeen. Multiple Fabricator opportunities are available, with immediate starts preferred, though candidates with notice periods will also be considered. This role involves both workshop-based work and site work across various industrial sites.

 

You will receive:

  • Competitive salary up to £37,900 per annum, depending on experience
  • Overtime paid at time and a half Monday through Friday (up to 12 hours); double time on weekends after 4 hours
  • Travel time compensation and overnight allowances

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate steel structures and components for large commercial contracts
  • Carry out welding processes, install structures and piping systems, and prepare steel plates, pipes, and sections for fabrication
  • Work with materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, Cunifer, and aluminium
  • Measure and cut steel sections to precise specifications
  • Operate fabrication machinery and tools in both the workshop and on various sites
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a heavy engineering or industrial environment
  • Proficiency in metal fabrication techniques, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
