About this role:

Accounts Assistant, £15 per hour, Motherwell, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all timesheets are received and processed on a weekly basis
  • Run payroll, ensuring all workers are paid accurately and on time
  • Generate and send client invoices with correct details, purchase orders, and payment terms
  • Track incoming payments and reconcile all financial transactions
  • Issue invoices and receipts to clients for payments received
  • Resolve outstanding payments and send collection statements when necessary
  • Update account information and maintain accurate client records
  • Make outbound calls to clients to confirm invoices and ensure regular, timely payment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with Sage and/or Xero
  • Experience in preparing statements of accounts and account reconciliation
  • Credit control experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Solid overall accounts experience, gained through qualification or hands-on experience
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
