MIG Welder Motherwell, Contract Role, Up to £20.00 Per Hour, Motherwell

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced MIG Welder for a contract role based in Motherwell, offering a competitive rate of up to £20.00 per hour. This full-time position provides stable employment, modern workshop facilities, and opportunities for ongoing training and development.

Responsibilities:

• Manufacture aluminium components for commercial vehicles, including fuel tanks, hydraulic oil tanks, and aluminium tippers
• Work accurately from SOPs and CAD/engineering drawings
• Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
• Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety requirements at all times
• Accurately measure and fabricate components using hand and power tools
• Complete work efficiently while recording time accurately on a timesheet
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Promote equality and diversity within the workplace
• Undertake any additional duties as reasonably required by the Line Manager

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a MIG and TIG aluminium welder
• Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
• Accurate use of a tape measure
• Working knowledge of materials such as box section, angle, and tube
• Strong time-keeping and reliability
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a small team
• Experience working to timesheets
• Desirable: Experience in steel welding
