Electrician, Maintenance & Workshop Operations, Haddington, Permanent

Responsibilities:

• Carry out fault finding, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment including motors, transformers, electrical panels, and lighting systems
• Perform first-line maintenance on all onsite electrical assets
• Diagnose electrical faults using multimeters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic tools
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, manuals, and technical documentation
• Assemble and install conduit, wiring, and electrical components to a high standard
• Complete preventive and predictive maintenance in line with planned maintenance schedules (PPM)
• Conduct routine inspections to identify hazards and reduce risk of equipment failure
• Support electrical upgrades, retrofits, and new equipment installations
• Maintain and work with Rockwell Automation control hardware
• Collaborate effectively with mechanical, maintenance, and workshop teams
• Follow all company procedures for workflow, reporting, and safety compliance
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety for yourself and others

Requirements:

• Qualified Electrician with relevant electrical certifications
• Proven experience in an industrial or workshop maintenance environment
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working with control panels and industrial electrical systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable participating in on-call and callout rota
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Benefits:

• Salary £41,946 – £46,729, including callout payments
• Basic salary of £41,945.96 plus £3,673.96 callout allowance (callout phone held every 3 weeks)
• Weekend on-call overtime increasing total earnings to approximately £46,729
