About this role:

Steel Erector, Carlisle, £23.00–£28.00 p/h + Lodge Allowance

Benefits:

  • £23.00 per hour (PAYE, incl. holiday pay) for weekday shifts

  • £28.00 per hour (PAYE, incl. holiday pay) for weekend work

  • £60.00 lodge allowance per day worked for eligible candidates

  • Consistent 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with optional Saturday work

  • Opportunity to work on a major EWF (Energy From Waste) project with long-term potential

Responsibilities:

  • Erecting and bolting structural steelwork on a large-scale industrial project

  • Working with cranes, cherry pickers, and MEWPs to position and secure steel components

  • Coordinating with site teams to complete lifts and installation safely and efficiently

  • Maintaining high standards of site safety, accuracy, and productivity throughout the project

Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS card, NVQ, and Slinger qualification

  • IPAF certification for operating access equipment

  • Own tools suitable for steel erection and bolting

  • Basic PPE (helmet, gloves, boots, hi-vis)

  • Previous experience working on industrial or EFW/large infrastructure projects is desirable
