Fabric Maintenance Engineer, Glasgow, £18-£20 per hour, Temp to perm opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Fabric Engineer to join our team on a temp-to-perm basis. This role involves carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance across a portfolio primarily consisting of commercial and retail shopping centres, with occasional work in student accommodation, social housing, and domestic properties.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (subject to licence check; must be over 25 for insurance purposes)
- Time-served multi-trade experience
- Strong skills across tiling, plastering, painting, and general building repairs
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Own tools required

Responsibilities
- Carry out multi-trade maintenance and repair work, including:
- Wall and floor tiling (repairs and installations)
- Plastering (patch repairs, skimming, rendering)
- Painting and decorating (internal and external)
- General building and fabric repairs (minor carpentry, patch work, basic structural repairs)
- Deliver high-quality workmanship across predominantly commercial and retail environments (approx. 95%), with some work in residential settings (5%)
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Represent the company professionally on-site
