Requirements:
Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent experience in CNC machining
Strong understanding of precision machining and manufacturing processes
Experience working in oil & gas, rotating equipment, or heavy engineering environments preferred
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce precision components, working rotating Shift A, Shift B, and Night Shift patterns (Monday–Friday)
Set up, operate, edit, and write CNC programs using Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, and Haas control systems
Read and interpret technical drawings, process sheets, and work instructions
Select tooling and calculate correct feeds and speeds for materials including steel, aluminium, brass, copper, and bronze
Machine components to tight tolerances (≤0.0025 mm)
Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometres, callipers, bore gauges, and height gauges
Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce setup times and improve productivity
Carry out component finishing, cleaning, and packaging for shipment
Maintain accurate identification and documentation of finished parts
Support continuous improvement, quality assurance, safety, and housekeeping standards
Work rotating day, back, and night shift patterns
