CNC Machinist, £39,000 to £52,000, Permanent Role, Motherwell

• Backshift: 3:00pm – 10:30pm (Mon–Thurs), 3:00pm – 10:00pm (Fri)
• Nightshift: 11:00pm – 7:00am (Mon–Thurs, finish 7:00am Fri)

Responsibilities:

• Operate and set up CNC Turning and 3/4/5 Axis Milling machinery
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering drawings
• Carry out inspection and quality checks using CMM, measuring instruments, and gauging devices
• Select, identify, and set up correct tooling and workholding for operations
• Work to tight tolerances across metallic and non-metallic materials
• Maintain accuracy, quality standards, and safe working practices across the workshop

Requirements:

• Time-served in a relevant engineering/machining discipline
• Ability to work 1-week rotating shifts (dayshift, backshift, nightshift)
• Strong manufacturing background
• Experience using Fanuc, Mazatrol, and Heidenhain control systems
• Aerospace experience desirable
