CNC Turner, Day & Night Shift, Permanent Role, Scotland

Day Shift: £19.50 – £19.70/hour (Monday to Friday, flexible 4 or 5-day patterns)

Night Shift: £25.35 – £25.61/hour (8:45 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, vertical borers, mill-turns, and 5-axis machines using Fanuc controls
• Manufacture precision components from customer drawings, ensuring first-time quality
• Meet required production cycle times while maintaining cost-effective standards
• Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing processes and tooling
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments
• Comply with all Health & Safety and Environmental policies

Requirements:

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Time-served engineering apprenticeship or substantial experience as a CNC Turner
• Strong experience with Fanuc-controlled machinery
• Proficient in working with various CNC machines including vertical borers, lathes, mill-turns, and 5-axis lathes
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and SPC (Statistical Process Control)
• Good PC and technical reporting skills
